In recent surveys preformed by The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), 8 of Nebraska’s 10,609 state residents who admitted themselves into treatment for heroin. Not including the 1,755 state residents who admitted themselves into treatment for either opiates or more than one drug. Studies also show that 37,000 or 2.62% of Nebraska’s citizens reported needing but not receiving treatment fort illicit drug and alcohol use in the past year. Surveys indicate that 2.2% of high school seniors polled had tried heroin at least one time in their lives. Heroin is available in small amounts in the Omaha, Nebraska area. While not considered a drug of choice in Nebraska, some Hispanic trafficking organizations have heroin available for consumer use.

The Saint Jude Retreat House does not provide alcohol detox, detoxification, drug detox, or services associated with the effects and symptoms of alcohol withdrawal and drug withdrawals from using heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, vicodin, xanax, valium, methadone, opiates, narcotics, methamphetamines, marijuana, lsd, hallucinogens, ecstasy, club drugs, inhalents or any other illegal drug, prescription drug, or controlled substances.
