The Saint Jude Program is a social educational program and is not an Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility. The individuals who choose to attend the program are considered guests, not clients or patients. Each guest is made to feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door and the guest is immediately aware that the surroundings do not portray a rehabilitation environment.
Our program teaches that every person makes a choice as to how they handle stressful situations or setbacks in their life and that each person needs to accept responsibility for the choices that they make. For each poor decision that a person makes, such as abusing alcohol, there are consequences.

Is Alcohol addiction a problem for you or a loved one? You’re not alone. When it comes to Alcohol addiction, the numbers seem to climb every year.
Finding the right help for Alcohol addiction in Tennessee can be done. Treatment isn’t the answer with its high rates of relapse. In addition, treatment teaches you to live a life devoted to preventing addiction instead of leaving it behind you. It’s impossible to end addiction when you spend your time thinking how to make your life smaller to avoid it. You are, in essence, putting the addiction at the center of your life and in charge of what you do and don’t do. Leaving Alcohol in charge of your life is a recipe for relapse.
Relapse doesn’t have to be a lifelong fear. You or a loved one can move beyond addiction and relapse permanently by choosing an alternative to treatment in a non 12 Step program. Relapse is reinforced at treatment to explain the high rates of reverting to using Alcohol again. When all treatment teaches is avoidance, how do you learn to make a life without Alcohol at the center? Research shows that relapse occurs at higher rates when you return over and over to treatment. It’s not about trying treatment another time so you or a loved one will get it right this time. In Tennessee, of 2,038 admissions for Alcohol, 56.1% or 1,143 people relapsed and returned for more treatment. In fact, returning can actually lower your chances of ending your addiction! Ending addiction is about having accurate information and a plan to live your life beyond the program-exactly what the non 12 Step program at Saint Jude Retreats does.
