Family members and loved ones often times feel overwhelmed when someone they love has an alcohol problem and feel they have no one to turn to.  An Alcohol Rehabilitation Program is usually the first course of action that comes to mind as a means to “rehabilitate” their loved one.

Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs use a 12 step approach and instill in the person who is being “rehabilitated” that they have an illness or a disease, which is not the case.  Alcohol abuse is a choice made by the individual solely by their own volition.  Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs offer group sessions and counseling and inform individuals that they will never get rid of their addiction but that by having a group support system, they can keep their addiction under control.

The Jude Thaddeus Program is a social educational program and is not an Alcohol Rehabilitation facility.  The individuals who choose to attend the program are considered guests, not clients or patients.  Each guest is made to feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door and the guest is immediately aware that the surroundings do not portray a rehabilitation environment.

Our program teaches that every person makes a choice as to how they handle stressful situations or setbacks in their life and that each person needs to accept responsibility for the choices that they make.  For each poor decision that a person makes, such as abusing alcohol, there are consequences.
