Rit Santelli - JTP Session2, Career Planning Program

I have worked for Baldwin Research Institute since April of 2004.  I am a retired New York State high school principal and superintendent.  Thirty-seven years in public education has made me acutely aware of the multitude of programs designed to assist individuals with all types of addiction.

I was thoroughly impressed by the social/educational program that the Jude Thaddeus Program professes.  Making the correct choices and living according to the principles that the program proclaims can indeed bring about happiness to anyone.  I found that this program is not solely about sobriety, but about how to be happy.  In this, I have learned as much from the students as they have from me.  Though I have never struggled with addiction personally, my life has had its share of depressing, anxiety provoking times. This program has actually helped me greatly in my quest for happiness.

My current position is to instruct students in goal setting and career development.  I assist them with resume and cover letter writing, interview experience, GED preparation, procuring service work, career changing, college transcript and financial aid development as well as intensive specific goal setting.  The Continuing Education Division is structured so that I can meet with every individual on a one-to-one basis throughout their stay.  Ultimately we work on how to transition back into society with all the skills and confidence to be happy and successful alcohol and drug free.

I have seen so many positive results from the Jude Thaddeus Program.  I indeed love every aspect of it.  As an educator, I have finally discovered a logical program that will work.  I have seen too many young people struggling with addiction.  I only wish that this program was mandatory in every high school as I feel the results would be astoundingly positive.
