Population 2,301,197 Cocaine/crack use in Nevada Cocaine, particularly crack cocaine is a significant problem in the urban areas of Nevada. According to the 2003-2004 data from the NSDUH approximately 161,000 (8.7%) Nevada citizens (ages 12 or older) reported past month use of an illicit drug. 36,000 (1.96%) reported past year cocaine use. Additional 2003-2003 NSDUH results indicate that 51,000 (2.75%) Nevada citizens reported illicit drug dependence or abuse within the past year.
