We are here to HelpMethamphetamine abuse in Ohio is becoming more prevalent according to law enforcement officials. Many officers report that a typical Methamphetamine user in the past has been a blue collar working class individual in his/her early 20s or 30s and has now shifted to primarily older teenagers in middle to upper-class neighborhoods. In the year 1999 officials estimated that 314,874 residents aged 12 or older had used Meth at least one time. Caucasians seem to be the primary abusers and have accounted for 77 percent of all admissions into rehabilitation programs for help with meth. Almost 74.3 percent of all admissions were accounted for by individuals with a high school education or less. The average purity of the readily available substance is 73 percent pure at the wholesale level, and 59 percent pure at the wholesale level when it is typically diluted with methylsulfonylmethane (a nutritional supplement for horses and humans) to increase the quantity for retail distribution.
