We are here to HelpIf you are living in Iowa and currently struggling with an heroin problem, let Saint Jude's help you stop the struggle. At Saint Jude's Retreats will want to educate everyone about the difference between drug and alcohol rehabs (treatment) and the St. Jude Program -- the original creators of the non 12 step, non disease based program model now being copied worldwide. Remember 12 Step treatment programs define you as powerless; St. Jude's on the other side of the industry, empowers; the differences could not be any more apparent.
In recent surveys regarding the heroin growth in Iowa surveyors discovered, 181 or 0.6% of Iowa's 28,044 Drug an Alcohol abusers admitted themselves into treatment for Heroin. These revealing surverys were preformed by The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). This information is not including the 6,085 state residents who admitted themselves into treatment for either opiates or more than one drug. Studies also show that 52,000 or 2.07% of Iowa's citizens reported needing but not receiving treatment for illicit drug and alcohol use in the past year. Also studies indicate that 1% of high school students have tried heroin one or more times in their lives. Mexican heroin is sporadically available in retail-level quantities throughout the urban areas of Iowa. Both black-tar and white heroin are found in the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids area. There is a growing heroin problem in Eastern Iowa as evidenced by heroin overdoses.
