Marijuana use in Hawaii is the big current topic. On June 25, 2013, Gov. Neil Abercrombie signed two bills that will affect Hawaii's medical marijuana program. It will make certain that the program will be run by health professionals and the law enforcement will not have control of the program. The patients will be able to now have four ounces of marijuana instead of three, they will be able to have up to seven plants at any growth stage they choose, and will need to get a recommendation from their physician saying it will be benefit them. This new law will not take effect until January 2, 2015.
Treatment and rehab centers for marijuana in Hawaii have not always been helpful to all who have wanted to change their lifestyle. There are now non-12 step programs that will give you the freedom to make your own decisions and what you feel is best for yourself or loved one.
Many Hawaii Marijuana treatment centers will make you believe that the only solution to your problems is in fact Marijuana treatment. This is not true. People overcome Marijuana every day without treatment and without addiction professionals dictating how their lives should be lived.
