According to studies performed by the Office of Applied Studies, National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 2003 and 2004, the total number of people ages 12 and older in the state of Michigan who used marijuana in the past year is 1,045,000. Of the 1,045,000, 153,000 were between the ages of 12 and 17. 353,000 past year marijuana users were of ages 18 to 25 and 539,000 were 26 and older. Total use of marijuana in the past month, according to the same survey, by people ages 12 and older is 596,000. 83,000 were ages 12 to 17, 202,000 were 18-25 and 312,000 were age 26 or older.
Marijuana use in Michigan is no longer the only way teenagers and young adults get high. Synthetic marijuana or also known as K2, Spice, etc, besides tobacco and alcohol is the second widely most used drug. Synthetic marijuana can cause seizures, violent behavior, hallucinations, heart attacks, permanent brain damage and even death. Lawmakers in Michigan are trying to make the sales of synthetic marijuana illegal but it has become very hard to do because the makers of synthetic marijuana are constantly changing the ingredients in it and have learned to get around the law.
Michigan Marijuana rehab and treatment centers will inform you that going to a marijuana treatment center is your only solution, that you have a disease, and that you are not held accountable for your behaviors and actions just for that reason alone. This is untrue and there has been research done that proves people can change their way of thinking and their behaviors. These things can be taught at a non-12 step program or a non-treatment program.
Many Michigan Marijuana treatment centers will make you believe that the only solution to your problems is in fact Marijuana treatment. This is not true. People overcome Marijuana every day without treatment and without addiction professionals dictating how their lives should be lived.
At Saint Jude's We have developed a program that is based on more than two decades of research. This research proves that people have the inner ability to change their thinking and actions accordingly... this means that people can, just with the power of choice, change their behaviors permanently.
If you are in Michigan and currently seeking a rehab or treatment center for Marijuana, please Call St Jude's to learn how you can change your life forever without demeaning labels and endless meetings
