Renovations were nearing completion in May 2004 when the St. Jude Mountain Retreat welcomed its first guests. Picturesque mountains surround this newly renovated 19th century hotel. Offering both semi-private and private bedrooms, St. Jude's once again led the industry with respect to comfort and amenities. This structure was engineered to maximize the social and educational processes that are necessary for our guest's long term success while ensuring privacy and comfort. The remote location and mountain setting provide peace and solace for those looking to get away and gain a new perspective on life.

Guests are educated in small sitting rooms, designed for comfort and privacy. These rooms are equipped with state of the art audio and visual equipment to aid in the teaching process. When not in classes or meeting with staff, guests can enjoy a game of pool, a stroll around the lake, a game of volleyball, a bicycle ride or a game of chess. They may also catch up on their e-mail on a PC that is provided for guest use; or they may bring their own laptop as we have WiFi throughout our houses. There are always guests with special talents and hobbies; such as musicians, artists, and chefs; and guests are encouraged to engage in their talents while at the retreat.

All meals are prepared by our professional chefs and a salad bar is kept freshly stocked and available to the guests 24/7. Beverages and snacks are also available throughout the day and evening. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the gym membership throughout their stay as transportation is provided daily. Guests can enjoy a sporting event, a movie or their favorite show in one of our sitting rooms with flat screen televisions. Like the other retreats the Mountain Retreat offers all new Tempur-Pedic mattresses to maximize comfort and encourage restful sleep.
