It seems every time you turn on the news you hear of another actor, musician, or professional athlete that has relapsed, gone to rehab, or tragically overdosed and died. And when a star dies, the media parrots the same statement, he or she has “lost their battle with addiction.” The real tragedy is if these people had known the truth, that it didn’t have to be a battle at all, they would likely still be alive today.
