With one of the highest and only verified abstinence rates in the world, the Freedom Model Program has been helping alcohol users overcome their addictions for good. Unlike other Alcohol Rehabs in Alaska, we track our success after guests leave our retreats. Most other rehab centers do not partake in extensive research like the Freedom Model Program does. Our success rate is around 63%, other centers who claim to have 85% or more are simply fabricating facts. Read our Testimonial Page to find out about our guests' success stories.

The numbers keep growing every day for addiction to Alcohol. You read it in the newspapers and see it on TV. Politicians keep talking about getting more money for treatment. The question is if treatment worked for Alcohol addiction, wouldn’t the number of people addicted to Alcohol be going down?
Living in Alaska you may be wondering if there is any treatment that works for addiction. The simple answer is treatment doesn’t work. While numbers increase for Alcohol addiction in Alaska, helping someone overcome Alcohol is really about looking for a non 12 Step program as research shows this approach to be an effective long term solution.
If you’ve attended traditional treatment, or even just heard about 12 Step or treatment programs, you probably have been told that addiction is a life sentence to a cycle of recovery and relapse. Treatment would have you believe that so you will accept returning to treatment again and again, particularly after relapse. Treatment programs promise relapse as a certainty because their focus is abstinence alone. You are told to fear your “triggers” of use and any stress until your world is very small and centered on fighting off that inevitable relapse. Relapse is inevitable if you are relying on treatment’s limited help for change. In Alaska alone, of the 2,174 people seeking help for Alcohol, 56.1% or 1,220 relapse in just one year. If treatment were the only alternative this would be terrible news but luckily there is a proven effective alternative.
