Among many alcohol program options, we can help you choose the right one.
There Are Different Solutions For Alcohol Use
You have decided that now is the time to find an alcohol treatment solution to your drinking and are considering your options. There are inpatient and outpatient as well as traditional 12 Step and non-12 Step alternative programs available. There are important things to know about the differences in and qualities of each of these program options. Treatment isn't the only option you have. Non-treatment programs have been proven to be highly effective in helping someone overcome an alcohol problem permanently.
Here are a few options:
Outpatient and Inpatient Options
Outpatient alcohol treatment solutions give people the option of getting help while staying at home, working at their jobs, and taking care of their families. These programs may be out of a hospital or clinic setting or consist of AA-style meetings.
Many people may prefer or even need to get away in order to be able to get clarity, focus, and receive the benefits of a much more intense and extensive program before returning to their usual environment. Inpatient programs range from hospital rehab programs to holistic retreats to non-treatment programs such as Freedom Model Retreats program that uses Cognitive Behavioral Education (CBE).
12 Step Programs
12 Step programs are another potential alcohol treatment solution. These programs promote the theory that alcoholics are victims of a chronic disease, that they are powerless against alcohol, that they must abstain from alcohol for the rest of their lives, that if they have so much as a sip of alcohol they will experience a "loss of control," that they must always be on guard against relapses despite the fact that they believe relapses are an inevitable part of "the recovery cycle", and that they will need continuing support and need to attend meetings for as long as they live. The success rate of 12 Step programs is only about 5%. The federal government has found that diagnosed alcoholics have a higher rate of achieving sobriety on their own than through traditional treatment
Cognitive Behavioral Education
Cognitive Behavioral Education (CBE) is offered at the non-profit, non-religious Freedom Model Retreats program. The CBE approach has proven to be highly effective for nearly 23 years. This method helps you take a look at your current behaviors, habits, and thoughts regarding substance use. Through CBE, you will reclaim your life and make choices that are positive and supportive of the life you want to lead moving forward. You are in charge of keeping yourself on track, self-evaluating your decisions and making decisions that make you happy and keep you positive and productive.
